a new era for in-house legal

The Year of

the GC.

The CFO has undergone a much need transformation in recent years - and now it's time for General Counsel to take the spotlight and show just how much a legal department can do for a business.

If ever a wiz there was.

Today's General Counsel share many characteristics of Frank L. Baum’s fabled Wizard Wizard of Oz - in that they have an air of mystery (as to how they and their teams work) and other worldliness (approach and communication style).

We're championing a re-envisioned GC in 2022. It's a role that is regularly undervalued, misunderstood and its effectiveness diluted. With ever more laws and regulation and unprecedented challenges such as Covid-19 and Brexit, the businesses that utilise legal in the best way will not only cope with such risks and pressures, but will excel and gain competitive advantage.
